It’s September! The perfect time to focus on your IELTS preparation

September is the month in which all things turn to school and academic study. It is the beginning of the academic year and the time when many of us are thinking about education.

Summer is over ☹

Children return to school, students to university, the days grow cooler and the nights longer (at least in this part of the world they do). It’s the next ‘new beginning’ after the New Year.

Covid has turned our world upside down and our sense of time is a little ‘topsy-turvy’ but, I think that for many countries, school is becoming a reality again and thoughts turn to study.

So what has this to do with IELTS you may be thinking? Well, the truth is that if you want to get your IELTS band in 2021 then NOW is the time to start preparing seriously. There are just 4 months remaining so it really is time:

  • Time to get started in earnest
  • Time to get an IELTS plan in place for an end of year exam
  • Time to make sure 2021 is the year you’ll get your IELTS
  • High time to put IELTS behind you once and for all

If your target is band 7 or above then you need to ‘get your skates on’. Most students need at least 3 to 6 months of focused study to be sure of their score so if you get going in the next few days you’ll be able to reach your target before the end of 2021 – it makes sense.

So with all the talk of education, schools starting to re-open and the importance of getting back to study in the air and on every news channel, you need to take some time to think about YOUR plan for YOUR IELTS.

If you’ve been dragging your feet, putting it off, or burying your head in the sand and blaming Covid, lack of exams, no courses or any other type of creative avoidance then stop it right now and focus!

  • Focus on your dream – is it still there?
  • Focus on what is possible – IELTS exams are coming back, IELTS courses are coming on stream
  • Focus on your plan – a plan to get your IELTS before the end of 2021
  • Focus on what you need to do – how close are you to your band?

If you are inspired to get going and make these last 4 months of the year your final push to achieve your IELTS band then don’t waste any more time.

I would love to speak to you and help you to find out:

  • where you are currently with IELTS
  • what the main challenges are

and then,

  • help you to create a plan that will take you from where you are now to the band you want to achieve in the next 3 or 4 months.

Speaking to me about your IELTS is easy – just complete these short questions and tell me something about your IELTS and then you’ll be able to book a suitable time on my timetable.
