Sophia took 10 years to get her IELTS band. She also took 12 tests and just couldn’t get her required score in one sitting.
Eventually she managed to get her result at the 13th time of sitting the test. During all that time and all those tests she lacked one major thing……
A Plan
Any journey needs a plan, a way of getting from A to B in the quickest and most efficient way and IELTS is no different. Without a plan things can be tricky.
- You won’t know where to begin
- You won’t know how you are doing
- You won’t know what to do next
- You won’t know exactly when to take the exam
- You’ll flounder and go round in circles
- You’ll probably work very hard
- You probably won’t work very smart
- It may cost you more money
- It will certainly cost you more time
A plan will tell you:
- Where to start
- What to do each day
- How to evaluate your work
- What to fix and improve
- When to take your exam
- How to work smart
- It will also save you time and money
So if you are running around like a headless chicken with your IELTS, it’s time to get a plan.
Sophia finally had a good plan. She knew exactly what to do, what to fix, what to change and improve and how long she would need to do this and then – she took the test, passed and moved on with her life.
This is the way to conquer IELTS – be systematic.
